I heard about a local pumpkin patch that has a few little free things for the kids to do after they pick out their pumpkin. Unfortunately I think we went a little late and there weren't very many pumpkins left. The kids all found a pumpkin to choose anyway. They took us on a hay ride after the pumpkins were picked. It wasn't really the best pumpkin patch ever, but hey...the stuff was free...except the pumpkins of course. The other big pumpkin patches around here charge a fortune to even get in. So it worked for our family. Besides the kids just wanted a pumpkin and mom just wanted the pictures...and hey we got that!
When we got back from the pumpkin patch we made carmel apples. They were so yummy and the kids made a huge mess eating them!
