Emma was never a big bike rider. I think she was a little embarassed because she didn't know how to ride and all her friends did. I have been wanting Emma to be taught for a while now, but was a little nervous about how she would do. So finally I asked Scott to take off Emma's training wheels so she can finally learn to ride. She is eight, she should know how to ride a bike! So off the training wheels came and off Emma went. Scott started off by holding onto her handlebars for her to get used to it. Moved onto only holding onto the back of the seat. And then it was just getting her going and she went. She was a natural. It didn't take long at all for her to get used to riding. She was even starting herself up and going. She was so proud of herself. Now we can't get her off the bike! Way to go Emma. Now Caleb wants his training wheels off so he can learn to ride. This night was only the second time he even got on his bike. He got it for his birthday in March. He fell over while he was turning (yes even with the training wheels on) and has never wanted to go on since. We will have to save his learning for another day.

Getting started.

Moving along.

Dad letting go. He told Emma to go into the grass. He figured if she fell over at least it was on something soft.

Emma is a pro!

Caleb getting in on the action.

so cute! Derick is 7 and he still has his training wheels on. so don't feel bad Emma. This gives me a kick to help Derick. way to go Emma.
How exciting! All of my kids have been late to start riding bikes, too, so she's not alone! Good for Emma!
