Rainy Game

Rolling around in the mud. What kid wouldn't want to do this?!?!?

So we left for Joshua's game on Saturday against Kuna with sunny skies. While waiting at the field for the game to start we turned around to see the great storm rolling in. We didn't go prepared for rain! It started to rain as soon as the game was about to begin. Of course a little rain doesn't stop a game from playing. It just stops a mom from wanting to sit in it! I took Emma and Caleb to the van to try to wait out the rain. It started down pouring. Everyone was running for cover. The players were stashed away somewhere dry to see if the rain would let up. It did and the game proceded. It was a great game...we won! But, it was a mess. Joshua did pretty good at not getting too muddy...until the coach had a great idea at the end of the game. He told them all to go roll around in the mud. What was he thinking?!?!?! Joshua was a mess! I really wish I had my camera for a shot at what he looked like all muddy. We made him take everything off before he could get in the car. Poor kid! It was either that or ride on the roof! Two more games left and then football is over for the season. This Saturday calls for snow. YIKES! It's only October!
